The Detroit Public Library has published its African American Booklist for more than 50 years. This bibliography provides a selected list of books by and/ or about African Americans. The works of fiction and nonfiction for adults, children and young adults were reviewed and recommended by librarians of the Detroit Public Library.
Read It Now!ProjectArt is back at the Detroit Public Library for a new year of free art classes for children and teens! Classes run from the week of September 25, 2023 through the week of May 20, 2024. While enrollment is ongoing throughout the year—registration is required as space is limited.
